Hope everyone has weathered the cold OK. The Senior Center had a frozen pipe but harold Fox was able to get it thawed before we had any broken pipes. Propane usage is a different story.
We had a very good attendance at our Officers Appreciation Luncheon on January 27th. This is a time to thank all of the volunteers who make it possible to keep the center open. thanks to all who attended.
We had a speaker on February 14th, Maggie Saslow on foot care. Our next speaker will be Kaye Faraca on march 13th, demonstrating her egg art. If you have never seen Kaye's work, you are in for a treat. February 27th we had a free Tax Preparation Class offered from the OSU Bit=Mobile. The participants were able to file their taxes and send them electronically that day.
We have rented a storage unit for three months to store the donated items for our annual yard sale on May 24th & 25th. If you have large items or several boxes we now have room to store them. Call Shirley Williams at 548-0849 to set a time to deliver them. Please remember no clothes, chemicals, or broken items. We are also acce3pting christmas items for our November sale.
April 10th is our next business meeting but join us any Thursday for potluck, the social hour starts at 10:30 and lunch is at noon. If you are interested we have many groups meeting at the center, Women's Fitness group, Quilters, Woodcarvers, Birders, Grief Counseling, Caregivers Support group, Grange potluck & bunco and Seniors Bunco. You do not have to be a member of the Seniors to attend any of these groups.
